Kodaikanal is one of the beautiful hill stations in India, which means the “gift of the forest”, situated in the state of Tamil Nadu, among the Palani Hills. It is unique rows and rows of silky pine trees sloping down to clear, cold streams, spectacular views which suddenly disappear in foamy mist. With its intoxicating air, breathtaking scenery and serenity that you can hardly find in any other hill station.

It’s said that betel leaves have medicinal properties. In India and parts of Southeast Asia, the leaves are chewed together with proper other ingredients are common. In Malayalam it is know as “Vettila”. It is said that Betel leaves are used as a stimulant, antiseptic and breath-freshener. May be that’s the reason why they are in the shape of heart.
